Filamentive has used waste from plastic to create recycled plastics for the rapidly expanding 3D printing industry. It has provided the source for the sustainable materials for a raft of products including 3D printed bionic limbs This is an invention containing materials that make 3D printing sustainable. Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) is one of the primary types of 3D printing. FDM is an additive manufacturing process in which a thin filament of plastic wire feeds a 3D printer; the print head melts it and extrudes it onto a build plate. The PLA is biodegradable. Biodegradability refers to the ability of a material to decompose after interactions with biological elements.
